If you are new to band instruments, we have some great knowledge on what to look out for when buying a baritone! If you don't find what you are looking for on our site, please give us a call at (210-224-1010) Downtown or (210-525-1010) Babcock so that we can answer any questions you may have!
For us to serve you better, please consult your band director on the
preferred instrument so that we can get you the perfect instrument to satisfy everyone!
First: New, Used, or Rent? We offer all three choices. New is more reliable, sounds great, just costs a little more. Used is perfect for anyone starting out. Rent is also good for those who are not sure what instrument they would like to play. I am pleased to say that we offer all three choices.
Second: Three or Four? The two kinds of baritone horn include the three-valve and four-valve baritone horn. The three-valve baritone horn uses three front-action piston valves to produce a bright baritone sound. It comes with a fixed bell that can face forward or upward, and a medium-cup mouthpiece that does not require too much blowing effort. Meanwhile, a four-valve baritone horn has an added valve that allows for a wider variety of low tones. It produces a deep, rich sound, an excellent tone, and an accurate intonation.
For Beginners We Recommend:
Baritone: Yamaha Ybh301s Baritone Horn
Key of Bb, .504" bore, 8-3 8" upright yellow brass bell, and 3 nickel-plated alloy pistons, silver-plated finish. Includes mouthpiece, valve oil, and hard plastic baritone case.
Intermediate (high school-college)
Yamaha YBH-621S

The YBH-621S has long been one of the world's most popular baritones, and is distinguished by a noble, rich tone. It features an easy playability-with quick and comfortable response-as well as highly accurate intonation. Perfectly rounded tubing results in less turbulence and a smoother air flow, thus allowing for an excellent scale and reduced resistance. A high-energy laser fuses the brass together for a virtually seamless bell, which allows continuous even vibrations.
