Mike Brown at Alamo Music Center Mike Brown attended Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma on a bassoon scholarship and graduated with a double major in biology and music education.  He has taught middle school and high  school band in Kansas and private school band in Oklahoma. He recently spent five years as a band director for Newsom Music Education, teaching beginning and intermediate bands and jazz ensembles at 11 private schools in the San Antonio Area. His primary instrument is the saxophone and he has been actively playing as a jazz and gospel musician for nearly 30 years.
