Clavinova Training - This site was developed to provide training, support and resources for a specific community of digital keyboard players who use the YAMAHA Clavinova. This community includes Music Teachers, Students, Clavinova Enthusiasts, Worship Musicians, Schools and Universities.

Clinician: Susan Ogilvy is a well-known clinician for national and state conferences and for the last six (6) years has traveled the United States for YAMAHA as a digital keyboard specialist, showing teachers how to use the Clavinova in both studio and on stage.
Susan has been a clinician for Yamaha's Summer Technology Seminars (STS) since its inception in 1992. She is a clinician for Keyboard Ensemble & Technology Seminar (KETS), a week long summer seminar held for the past 7 years at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. This past summer KETS 8 was held at UCO in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Composer: Susan has composed piano solos for Alfred Publishing, The Frederick J. Harris Music Company and writes digital keyboard ensembles for Ogilvy Music.
She has written teaching pieces and ensembles for the “Carden Keyboard Ensemble Series” and for the college text “Piano for the Developing Musician” by Martha Hilley and Lynn Freeman Olson. Susan has written commissioned works for Kurzweil, for the University of Louisville Keyboard Ensemble TECHLA and for the multi-media production “Fabric of a Family” produced and written by Joy Carden. She wrote the ensemble insert for each issue of the ground-breaking magazine “Computer and Music Educator” published by Nelson Varon in the early 1990's.
Teacher: Susan Ogilvy owns and operates an innovative music school for “children of all ages” in Denton, Texas. Making use of both acoustic and electronic musical instruments, Susan and her husband Jim recognize the value of our past and the importance of our future. Susan’s piano students, ranging in age from 4 to 84, perform in their keyboard orchestra at national and state music teachers’ conventions, retirement centers and nursing homes, public schools, outdoor music festivals, and anywhere musical fun is welcome!
Susan holds a B.M.E. and M.M.E. from the University of North Texas where she studied piano with Robert J. Rogers and Margaret Grubb. She has worked in the church for 30 years conducting adult, youth, children and handbell choirs. She is a member of ASCAP, a certified Kindermusik teacher and has been rehearsal accompanist for the Dallas Symphony Chorus.
