Website : The San Antonio Ragtime Society was formed in 2001 with the purpose of bringing more ragtime music to San Antonio. The organizational aspects are minimal, with no dues or membership requirements.

We meet every other month on even numbered months at the Steinway Piano Gallery to play and listen to ragtime. We welcome all players and lovers of ragtime to attend our free meetings. In 2008 we conducted our 7th Youth Ragtime Festival to encourage interest for ragtime in young people. We have been most gratified by the response, in 2008 we had 60 participants referred by 19 piano teachers. We have brought guest pianists Brian Holland, Martin Spitznagel, Michael Stalcup, and Bob Milne to San Antonio. Larisa Migachyov discovered the "ragtime scene" through our club and is now an active player on the festival circuit around the country, and unfortunately moving to San Fransisco, our loss is their gain! We are now affiliated with a non-profit 501c3, and have been awarded a grant from the City of San Antonio to produce the Ragtime Festival in May.
