The Gretsch G5445T Double Jet with Bigsby Solidbody Electric Guitar
For the musician that needs a "Swiss Army" style tone machine capable of a variety of different tones.. the Gretsch Double Jet delivers the goods with a unique construction design. Twin Filter'Tron pickups get that glassy classic Gretsch tone- and when you are on the distortion channel, these pickups deliver unbelievably fat-heavy tones usually associated with pointier guitars. The chambered body also adds a resonance that gives this guitar a unique voice all on its own! This guitar knows no boundries and could be used effectively in Rock, Metal, Jazz, Country, you name it!
Gretsch, a world renowned musical manufacturer, developed the Filter’Tron™ style pickup, which is a humbucker with a unique design, with specific characteristics. Its dual-coil pickup design cancels the hum, and with a large 1/4″ alnico magnet (twice as large as a “standard” PAF magnet) and larger pole screws, the result is a higher inductance (more power – thicker tone). The Filter’Tron’s bobbins are positioned closer together and wound with less magnet wire for less loss of high end. Brian Setzer, Billy Gibbons and countless other guitar legends covet these wonderful and unique sounding pickups..
