GHS weighted action is heavier in the low keys and lighter in the high keys, just like an acoustic piano. The special matte black key tops are designed to absorb moisture and remain tactile after extended use without becoming slippery.

The Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) 88-key piano keyboard provides a heavier touch in the low end and lighter touch in the high-end, replicating the feel of the hammers inside an acoustic piano. GHS is great for the aspiring pianist, because it can help you build proper finger technique. When it comes time to play the real thing, your hands will be ready! Additionally, the matte finish of the black keys can absorb moisture from your hands, making them less slippery even after hours of practice.

Adaptive Style automatically shifts between the Main Style Variations by changing your velocity and number of notes played.

Adaptive Style automatically shifts the Main Style Variations. Depending on the velocity and amount of notes being played, the Style Variations will follow you without having to press any buttons. This allows for a more fluid playing experience and feels like you're truly leading the band!

Unison and Accent function adds a doubled voice to your melody line and musical "hits" when you accent your notes.

Unison and Accent function add expressive and nuanced control over the Style. With the Unison function, you can play the melody and have it reproduced in unison by multiple instruments. With the Accent function, accents are automatically generated by adding notes to Style playback according to your playing strength.

Smart Chord lets you play great-sounding chords from simple Pop triads to complex jazz 7th chords with just a few fingers.

With the new Smart Chord feature a single finger is all it takes to start the playback of rhythm and accompaniment patterns from various musical genres. Play children's favorite tunes and bring smiles to their faces. When the child is old enough, it will be their turn to entertain the parents with their favorite tunes.

Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) allows for vivid and richly-varied expression to reflect the limitless number of factors that create the sound of a concert grand piano.

In a grand piano, strings and sounds resonate throughout the entire body of the instrument to produce a rich reverberation that envelops the listener in sound. Not only are the strings vibrating as you play, but other strings ring as well, in reaction to ones you play. Some keys strike a different number of strings depending on their position on the keyboard; this explains why the sound of an acoustic piano is so complex and rich.
This experience is reproduced perfectly on select Clavinova models through Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) which calculates the various states of the strings for each of the 88 notes on the keyboard, from one instant to the next. As a result, the Clavinova sound features a seemingly limitless number of elements in common with an acoustic piano.

Super Articulation Voices intuitively reproduce the natural expressive nuances of non-keyboard instruments, allowing keyboard players to achieve realistic expression.

Super Articulation Voices reproduce the performance characteristics of acoustic instruments so authentically, you'll feel as if you're playing the real thing. Best of all, SA Voices intelligently add just the right expressive nuances to your performance without having to learn a bunch of tricks – just play!

Dual Mode lets you combine two Voices together, like piano and strings, for an inspiring new playing experience.

Combine two Voices together, like piano and strings, for an inspiring new playing experience. Nothing livens up piano practice like playing a piece with a new sound, or creating unique combinations of two sounds together. Experiment with your combinations to discover fresh and inspiring tonal colors.

1/4" microphone input allows you to connect a microphone so you can sing along while you play, hear your voice through the instrument's speakers, and even record your performance to USB audio.

The 1/4" microphone input allows you to connect a microphone so that you can sing along while you play. You'll hear your voice through the instrument's speaker system and anything the microphone picks up can also be recorded to USB audio. Pair this feature with the You Are the Artist series sheet music and MIDI files, and you’ll be the star of your own show!

Bluetooth audio allows you to connect your music player wirelessly to your Digital Piano so you can listen to and play along with your favorite songs.

Any Bluetooth-enabled device can connect to your Digital Piano wirelessly so that you can listen to your music library through the high-quality speaker system of the piano. You can listen to MP3s from your smart phone, or even hear the sound from streaming videos through the instrument's speaker system. Pairing your device is quick and easy!
