Created by Hohner, the Anacleto collection is a series of vintage-style, Italian-made accordions featuring handmade reeds.
About the Anacleto Accordion Collection
Accordions feature a series of buttons or a keyboard on the ends. The buttons create pitches, but the sound itself comes from the accordion's bellows and reeds.
Within this basic design, Hohner handcrafts each Anacleto as a 34-button or piano keyboard accordion with a unique crystal pattern and color scheme on the exterior. For professional input, Hohner reached out to the world's top accordion players to design the series' fingerboard dimensions, feeling and operation. In turn, each Anacleto accordion plays smoothly and naturally based on the musical style.
Within this basic design:
- Anacleto accordions include three, five or nine registers to meet the specific sounds of Norteño, Conjunto, Tex-Mex, and Zydeco genres.
- Two-tone and four-row diatonic accordions extend the instrument's note range.
- All Anacleto accordions feature handmade reeds constructed out of high-quality reed ribbons placed in hard aluminum frames. Each read is then fastened with a high degree of tension.

Hohner groups its Anacleto accordions into three general types:
Rey Del Norte
Geared more toward the expressiveness needed for Norteño and Tex-Mex music, the Rey Del Norte series consists of three-, five- and nine-switch diatonic button accordions, as well as two-tone, four-row and compact models.
Latino
For Latin folk music, as well as Norteño, Vallenato and Tex-Mex, the Latino series of Anacleto accordions is at the heart of the sound. The Latino series includes all chromatic piano keyboard accordions.
Latino Beginner
Accordion players need to start somewhere. This series of beginner models including the Hohner Panther accordion features 31 buttons and recognizable tonality.
