Last year, Alamo Music and Kawai Pianos were proud to be the official piano sponsors of The Gurwitz International Piano Competition. Now, 2024 Gurwitz Gold Medalist Yungyung Guo (China), Silver Medalist Tatiana Dorokhova (Russia), and Bronze Medalist Young Sun Choi (South Korea) return to San Antonio to showcase their mesmerizing piano artistry following their award-winning performances in February 2024.
The program will feature the world premiere of San Antonio Celebration, a commissioned work for piano six hands by Grammy Award-winning producer and composer Michael Fine. Fine, formerly Vice President of Artists & Repertoire at Deutsche Grammophon, was also one of the six live competition judges of the 2024 Gurwitz Competition.
