Designed by renowned amp engineer, James Brown, the 5150® Iconic® Series 80W Head is powered by four 6L6 power tubes and voiced by a complex, multi-stage hybrid preamp section anchored by a duet of ECC83 tubes providing all the fire power the modern guitarist needs in a simple to use format.

SEARING SOUND AND GROWLING GAIN
The 5150® Iconic® Series 80W Head delivers the culmination of Eddie's life-long chase for the holy grail of tone-searing sound and growling gain-at an affordable price.

Two channels combine to deliver pure tube power that can deliver across any genre. The Green channel boasts an overdrive button to run from lush clean tones to increased gain, while the Red channel's burn button adds fiery crunch for blistering leads.

TAKE COMMAND
Tone for days is yours for the taking with a comprehensive control layout. Independently dial-in volume and gain for Ch. 1 and 2 for level matching. Ch. 2 features a noise gate control to suppress any hiss while ensuring all staccato riffing is articulate and crisp, not choked and choppy. Shared EQ controls allow you to adjust Low, Mid and High. A global presence knob creates full control over ultra-high frequencies, while the global resonance knob adjusts the power amp's low frequency response. The Boost control allows you to add another 10Db of foot-switchable volume to your tone.

PURE TUBE POWER
Two ECC83 preamp tubes erupt with mega overdriven tone when pushed to the max, while four 6L6 power tubes up the ante with plenty of saturated, high-gain attitude synonymous with Van Halen.

BOUNCE AND DECAY
Adjust the Reverb control for the right amount of bounce and decay for any room.

BEHIND THE SCENES
This amp also features a 2-button footswitch that allows you to quickly toggle between the channels or engage the boost button. A speaker-emulated DI XLR (line out is located on rear panel) with power amp mute allows for accurate all-tube EVH tone for recording direct or using through any PA system.
