Taylor Gold Label 810e - Heritage Power, Reimagined
The Taylor Gold Label 810e introduces a bold new voice to Taylor's lineup, blending old-world dreadnought character with modern innovation. Built around a deep-body square-shoulder Dreadnought design, this guitar delivers a warmer, more expansive sound than traditional Taylor Dreadnoughts-one that feels rooted in heritage yet unmistakably forward-looking.
With a body depth 3/8" deeper at the soundhole, the Gold Label 810e unlocks a lower resonant frequency, producing a commanding low end, greater air movement, and room-filling projection. Unlike vintage-style Dreadnoughts that can favor sheer power at the expense of balance, this design retains Taylor's hallmark clarity and note separation. Even the treble strings carry added warmth, authority, and weight, making this a Dreadnought that feels equally at home under a heavy strum or a nuanced right hand.
Tonally, the Gold Label voice is inspired by classic, old-heritage instruments-warm, open, and powerful, with a dynamic response that feels broken-in from the first chord. A torrefied Sitka spruce top enhances responsiveness and harmonic complexity, while Honduran rosewood back and sides contribute deep bass, shimmering overtones, and a broad, piano-like frequency range.
Visually, the Gold Label 810e stands apart as a true flagship. Its striking four-piece Simons wedge back improves comfort and projection while showcasing beautifully matched Honduran rosewood. Elegant details abound, including grained ivoroid binding, pauá and Honduran rosewood rosette, shell Continental inlays, and antique gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons. A layered ivoroid and faux-tortoiseshell pickguard, engraved with the Gold Label mark, completes the refined vintage-inspired aesthetic.
Playability is effortless thanks to a mahogany neck, West African ebony fingerboard, 25.5" scale length, and a comfortable 1-3/4" nut width, making the Gold Label 810e a natural fit for both traditional Dreadnought players and modern stylists alike. Plugged in, the LR Baggs Element VTC delivers a natural, stage-ready sound that faithfully represents the guitar's powerful acoustic voice.
Bold, resonant, and deeply expressive, the Taylor Gold Label 810e is not a throwback-it's a redefinition. A Dreadnought for players who love classic tone but demand modern balance, refinement, and reliability.
