Taylor Next Generation 324ce - A New Chapter for a Taylor Classic
The Taylor 324ce has been one of the most trusted all-solid-wood workhorses in the Taylor lineup for decades. Now, the Next Generation 324ce brings a new level of tone, playability, and stage-readiness to this iconic Grand Auditorium. With upgraded Scalloped V-Class bracing, Taylor's powerful new Claria electronics, and the innovative Action Control neck system, the 324ce delivers a deeper, warmer voice and an even more dialed-in feel - while staying true to the balanced, versatile character players have always loved.
Familiar Woods, Enhanced Tone
The 324ce swaps out a spruce top for mahogany, and the denser hardwood brings a natural compression to the voice across the tonal spectrum, producing a slightly darker, more linear response that emphasizes midrange focus. The new scalloped V-Class bracing and long-tenon neck coax extra warmth from the guitar, which balances nicely with sapele's clear upper register. While the 324ce shares the same fundamental appointments that define the next-gen 314ce, the darker mahogany top is accented with other unique aesthetic touches including a shaded edgeburst - giving the white rosette and top purfling lines extra visual pop - and satin black Taylor tuning machines and buttons.
Scalloped V-Class bracing widens the guitar's tonal palette by adding more low-end warmth and a smoother, more blended response. You still get the pitch accuracy, sustain, and clarity V-Class is known for, now paired with a richer bass and the familiar cohesiveness of traditional X-bracing.
Claria Electronics: Simple, Warm, and Stage-Ready
Taylor's new Claria System is designed for players who want the most natural, accurate tone possible with minimal effort. Built around an upgraded under-saddle transducer and a high-headroom preamp, Claria avoids the harshness, distortion, and quack often associated with piezo pickups.
With soundhole-mounted Volume, Tone, and Mid-Contour controls, dialing in a warm rhythm tone or a punchy, mid-forward lead sound is effortless. Plug in, adjust, and you're ready for any performance situation - no complex EQ required.
Action Control Neck: Dial In Your Perfect Setup
Taylor has redefined neck adjustability once again. The Action Control neck system allows you to set your neck angle - and therefore your action - quickly and precisely, without removing strings or performing major work.
Whether you prefer ultra-low action or extra height for aggressive strumming, your ideal setup is only a bolt-turn away. The extended long-tenon joint also increases resonance and low-end depth, enhancing the guitar's already rich voice.
Grand Auditorium Comfort and Versatility
Taylor's Grand Auditorium shape remains one of the most player-friendly body styles ever designed. It's comfortable, versatile, and perfectly suited for singer-songwriters, worship leaders, session players, and performers who need one guitar to cover many roles. Clear highs, warm lows, and excellent projection make it a dependable partner on stage or in the living room.
