Vintage Martin 0018G Acoustic Guitar (1956) | Used
A vintage nylon-string Martin built during the mid-1950s "golden era" of American flat-top guitar making. The 00-18G pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides on a compact 00-size body, fan-braced to handle gut/nylon string tension rather than steel. Its 12-fret mahogany neck, wide soft-V profile, and 2" nut give it a distinctly vintage feel, while the rosewood fingerboard and bridge, tortoiseshell binding, and open-gear tuners round out its classic look. Originally built for classical and finger style players, it's prized today both for its warm, intimate tone and its rarity. Martin catalogued only a few hundred of these each year before discontinuing the model in 1962.
