Synths That Time Forgot: Akai AX60 & AX80

These two 1980's synthesizers don't really belong in their time period-- maybe that's why they've been overlooked in synth history. The AX60 and AX80 come from a manufacturer that is much more well known for other products-- Akai has a great reputation, but not necessarily for synthesizers; as for polyphonic analog synthesizers, these came out at a time with too heavy of competition from brands like Yamaha.
