New digital piano models don’t often get the excitement they deserve and this is definitely the case with the Kawai CX202. The CX202 was released in the Fall 2025 season and it’s gaining attention for its high quality and reasonable affordability. A lot of people who are in the market for digital pianos have noticed that the value of pianos has significantly improved and we will take a look as to why that is.
Advancement In The Digital Space
If you took this piano to someone five years ago and asked them how much it was worth then they’d tell you it’s easily a $4,000 piano. However the price of this model is less than half of that. This digital isn’t cutting any corners to achieve this, instead this is an improvement to what you’d find from back then, but to know that you have to see what features come with this model. You have the conveniences you get with higher quality digital pianos including MIDI in and out, headphone connection, and bluetooth audio. Kawai’s Responsive Compact Hammer II key action makes sure that you’re not hearing the click of the keys excessively which is always a plus especially if it's something you find distracting while playing. The best feature though is the Harmonic Imaging Xl: 88-key piano sampling in the CX202 which adds a more acoustic like sound as it is a sample of a real acoustic piano. One of the sound options using this Harmonic Imaging is also that of the 9 foot Kawai EX Grand which sounds absolutely spectacular and with this piano you somewhat mimic how you would hear how on stage.
New & Improved
Digital pianos are seeing improvements every single year and you start to get more features for your dollar than you were getting just a few years ago. With the CX202 it’s pretty clear that you shouldn’t settle for any less in this day and age, and you should make sure that the price you're paying is getting you what you deserve. For any beginner or experienced player looking for something easy without missing quality features, we have the Kawai CX202 selling for $1,699.
