Eastman is an instrument company founded by flutist Qian Ni in China in 1992. The company first started off with manufacturing string instruments before quickly expanding to wind instruments and now, guitars. Both instruments are manufactured in China, but use different manufacturing processes to ensure consistency in quality for a great value!
The Eastman E20D-TC model is a 25.4” length Dreadnought-body acoustic guitar with solid, thermo-treated Adirondack Spruce top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides, all in a True Tone gloss. The side bracing is tapered/hand-carved scalloped and features an Ebony-finish fingerboard and bridge. With a design based on the legendary Martin 28 Series line, this guitar will definitely turn some heads at your next gig!
The Eastman E20OM-TC model is a 24.9” length Orchestra Model-body acoustic guitar with a solid, thermo-treated Adirondack Spruce top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides, all in a True Tone gloss. This guitar in particular features Herringbone purfling and a bone nut and saddle, which gives it a warmer and more clearer sound. These features and more are a great bang for your buck and will be perfect for your next recording session!
These guitars are in a True Tone finish, a urethane-based finish Eastman uses instead of the traditional nitrocellulose finish on contemporary guitars. They both come with a hardshell case, D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light strings and Open-Gear Gotoh Tuners. For the price of an import guitar, the Eastman E20D-TC and E20OM-TC model guitars provide a huge value proposition for what it’s worth!
