The Original Roland Analog Drum Machine!
We love exploring the history of musical instruments at Alamo Music Center, and with this video, we are going to take a look at the Ace Tone Rhythm Ace FR-2L. Ace Tone was the precursor to the now legendary Roland Corporation, home to the legendary TR 808 and TR 909, and if you listen closely, you might notice a few similar sounds coming out of this analog time keeper. The FR-2L included a music stand, which made complete sense as this particular instrument was designed to sit on top of classic organs by Ace Tone, Lowry, Hammond and more.
