Solid Indian rosewood and torrefied Sitka spruce offer a blooming, harmonically rich tone with inspiring old-school sonic character. All Gold Label 800 Series guitars feature mother-of-pearl "Continental" inlays on the fretboard and peghead, and a stylized, dual-layer pickguard design with faux tortoise over ivoroid and an engraved "Continental" motif. Additional visual appointments include grained ivoroid body and soundhole binding; ebony fretboard binding; on-edge grained ivoroid/Honduran rosewood/black top purfling; on-edge grained ivoroid/black back purfling; and a single-ring paua rosette with black/ ivoroid/Honduran rosewood purfling. For these models, the internal fanned V-Class voicing architecture is applied with hot hide glue.
